Hire Rates Include the Following:
Unlimited Mileage
UK comprehensive insurance for up to two names drivers*
UK AA breakdown cover**
*Additional charges may be applied if any named drivers have more than six points on the license, have a non-UK driving license, have had more than one accident in the last three years or is in an occupation that is deemed high risk.
**UK hire means anywhere within England, Wales & Scotland
European Hire:Destination countires must be agreed with Cheshire Motor Homes at the time of booking and there are additional charges of £100 per week (& then £75 per additional week) for European insurance & breakdown cover.
Driver Insurance
Standard Excess: The insurance policy includes a standard excess rate of £500.In the event of any damage to either the vehicle or to third party property, the hirer will be liable to pay the first £500 of any claim. The hirer will also be fully liable for the replacement and repair of windscreen and tyres.
Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit of £750 is payable prior to commencement of hire. The deposit will be refunded in full on return of the vehicle to the agreed time and date, in the same condition as it was collected, with a full tank of fuel and with the interior, cooking apparatus and cooking utensils in clean condition.
If you return the campervan without a full tank of fuel then you will be charged £10 for re-fuelling plus the cost of the petrol.
Ireland & European Travel
Travel outside the UK is not permitted without prior consent from Cheshire Motor Homes at the time of booking. Travel to countries without consent will result in penalities for driving without insurance and breach of contract.
European hire: Destination countries must be agreed with Cheshire Motor Homes at the time of booking and there are additional charges of £150 per week (and then £75 per additional week) for European Insurance & breakdown cover.
Extras (Included in cost of hire)
At no extra cost we offer portable DVD player, 2 x camping chairs, collapsible outdoor table, tailgate bicycle rack, double roof bed, subject to availability. All extra items must be requested at the time of booking.
Optional Extras (Excluded from cost of hire)
Optional extras available include, Sat Nav, Free-standing tent (sleep up to 2), bedding duvets and pillow sets. All optional extras come at an additional charge (shown on main website) and must be requested at time of booking.
Driver Restrictions
- Drivers must be ages between 25-70
- Drivers must have held a full license for 2 or more years
- Original driving license must be show by all drivers at the start of hire
- Drivers are personally liable for all legal penalties (e.g. parking tickets, speeding fines, London congestion charges, etc.) incurred during the period of hire
- All drivers must produce proof of identity & address at the start of the hire. Proof of identity: A credit card & either a valid photo driving license or a valid paper driving license & passport. Proof of address: A recent (within the last three months) utility bill or bank statement
- Maximum number of drivers limited to the seating capacity of the camervan hired
Booking Confirmation & Payment
Upon receipt of a booking request, if there is availability for the dates required, a provisional booking reservation will be made and held for up to 3 days to allow payment. A booking reservation is not binding until it has been confirmed by Cheshire Motor Homes and a non-refundable booking deposit has been received.
The remaining balance will be due 6 weeks prior to commencement of the hire period or at the time of booking if less than 6 weeks before start of hire.

Cancellation of Booking
If you have to cancel your booking the following cancellation charges will be applied:
More than 6 weeks prior to hire period - Cancellation Charge: Booking Deposit
4-6 Weeks priior to hire period - Cancellation Charge: 50% of total hire charge, Refund: 50% of total hire charge
Less than 4 weeks prior to hire period - Cancellation Charge: 100% of total hire charge, Refund: None
Collection and Return
The pick-up & return location is as follows:
Greenclough Farm, Threaphurst Lane, Hazel Grove, Stockport, SK7 6NN
Standard collection and return dates and times are as follows:
Weekly hire:
Friday pick-up 3pm - Friday return by 10:30am
Short break hire:
Friday pick-up 3pm - Monday return by 10:30am
Monday pick-up 3pm - Friday return by 10:30am
In special circumstances alternative pick-up and/or return dates & times may be arranged at the time of booking. Hire periods will be confirmed in the booking confirmation literature.
Late Return charge:
There will be a late return charge of £50 per hour if your miss your allocated return time
Warning: You will not be insured outside of your agreed hire period and therefore will be committing a motoring offence.
